Wärtsilä Shared Service Center (WSSC) supports the Wärtsilä companies in financial accounting or other operational tasks and acts as a gatekeeper to ensure compliance. WSSC is striving for harmonized one global Wärtsilä way of working worldwide with high quality, timely, effective, and efficient processes. WSSC is sharing best practices and knowledge with focus on continuous development and operational excellence.
We are looking for a Master Data Engineer to join our team, with temporary position lasting 12 months.
We offer you an opportunity to work in an international and energetic environment, with lots of learning possibilities. In master data management you will familiarise yourself with multiple process tools and a wide range of Wärtsilä people around the world.
Location: Vaasa or Turku, Finland
Responsibilities:
- Create, update, extend, block, delete and monitor customer master data in SAP based on business inputs
- Ensure correct and high-quality master data according to legal compliance and Wärtsilä Corporation guidelines and requirements, with agreed work splits and lead times promised
- Active co-operation, communication and knowledge sharing with related end-to-end processes and internal and external stakeholders globally
- Contribute to global audits in WSSC in own area of responsibility, collect and prepare master data related information, reports and analyses to internal and external stakeholders and authorities
- Actively identify, evaluate, and implement new and innovative solutions ensuring continuous development, improvement and harmonisation in the global master data processes and tools. Strive for world-class performance
- Ensure proper and updated documentation of the process flows, work splits and tasks
- Training of different stakeholders globally on master data processes, tools and related policies and guidelines
- Assist and participate in development activities
Requirements:
- Education: Commercial/ Financial/ Data management education (e.g. Bachelor/Masters of Business Administration, or a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management)
- SAP MM, SD knowledge, SAP Business partner concept, good excel skills
- Systematic and organized way of working
- Interest in process optimization
- Open-minded and agile personality
- Flexibility and good team working skills
- Positive attitude and pro-active thinking
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of similar tasks and shared services operations is an advantage
- Advanced English skills, other languages are considered an advantage
