Operations Associate
About:
ShineOn is an e-commerce platform that allows the creation and sale of high-quality, unique jewelry. We produce and assemble our fashion jewelry products. We are recruiting to help us run this operation during our most busy season of the year: Quarter 4 and Holiday Season of 2023.
Role:
This first experience with us will be on a seasonal basis - focused on quarter 4 of 2023. Permanent opportunities are possible in 2024! This position is based close to Sloterdijk Station in Amsterdam, on our brand new fulfillment center. You will be joining our core team to help us assemble, produce, pack, and ship our products. You will help us fulfill all daily orders, prepare and organize materials, report process status and errors, as well as prepare the shop floor for daily operations. We like to start early so we can finish early too.
Position Summary
As an Operations Associate, you will pack the finished products in accordance with our well-written, documented, and standard packaging procedures. In this role, you may perform basic quality control checks, verify package counts, and evaluate the product or package appearance for defects or concerns. In this role, you are constantly handling products, so dexterity is a must and must be able to easily complete multi-step instructions to accurately (and safely) prepare our products before final shipment. By utilizing your excellent attention to detail, you'll help us prepare some amazing products that will be sure to put a smile on the faces of our customers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Report to the team lead and follow daily briefing of tasks and priorities.
- Follow the weekly schedule and guarantee the daily shipments of orders.
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
- Align material and put together parts
- Check output to ensure the highest quality
- Report on issues, malfunctions, or defective parts
Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills
- Must be available to start soon, and work through November and December.
- Must be reliable, on time, detail-oriented, and able to learn on the fly.
- Got experience with Adobe Illustrator, or Google Suite? This is a bonus.
Minimum education requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English.
