About the job
Currently, we have two open positions as O&M Development Package Manager. The first one is for a more experienced person from a similar position. For the second one, we welcome junior applicants as this will initially be an Associate role. The positions are within Offshore Generation and report to the Head of O&M Configurations.

As an O&M Development Package Manager you will, in the senior position, be responsible for designing the operational set-up for pre-FID wind farms including developing the OPEX business case and delivering early-stage contracts. You will cooperate with a team of technical specialists, act as the overall O&M project manager and represent O&M in the asset project organisation. There will be the opportunity to work on pre-bid business cases as well as secured wind farm projects up until FID. In the Associate role, you will work on design and business case tasks in a supporting role with increasing responsibility over time.
In the O&M Configurations team, you will work with nine highly skilled, internationally minded and welcoming colleagues who ensure we deliver operational designs that are commercially and technically optimistic, yet realistically attainable.
The O&M Development Package Manager has the overall responsibility for the O&M package and acts as the main point of contact for the O&M package towards the asset project. The main responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility for the execution of the defined O&M Package activities
- Using internally developed assumptions and models, develop the operational design and business case for given asset projects
- Work closely with procurement to deliver contracts in accordance with business needs for WTG Service Agreements, Logistics (SOVs, CTVs etc.), Harbours and Facilities and other early-stage maintenance scopes
- Present in governance forums according to internal requirements
- Project reporting and dialogue with the Technical Project Manager or Project Director
- Budgeting of time and resources required for the O&M Package
- O&M Package activity planning, including coordination of involvement of colleagues
- Prepare and collate information for handover documents
Location
The positions are offered in Amsterdam or Kolding and optionally Copenhagen.
Your profile
The colleagues we are looking for have a positive mindset, strong self-motivation and resilience, a flexible and proactive approach to tackling problems and are comfortable managing several tasks simultaneously with often challenging deadlines.
Additionally, we expect you to have the following capabilities:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics or Engineering
- +5 years for the more senior position and respectively +2 years for the Associate position of relevant experience within the energy sector, preferably offshore wind
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen including an understanding of financial models
- Working knowledge of typically used contract terms used in offshore wind
- Experience with construction or O&G contracts such as FIDIC or LOGIC is beneficial
- Technical and operational understanding with the ability to resolve detailed issues and to convey technical matters and life cycle costing coherently
- Well-rounded project management capabilities, accomplished at setting targets, planning resources, quantifying risks and tracking progress. Potentially a formal training and certification
- Strong communication skills, comfortable at presenting, building relationships and influencing others, while working effectively across different cultures and geographical locations
- The ability to abide by our Vattenfall core principles of being: Active, Open, Positive, and Safety
- A strong command of written and spoken English is a prerequisite for the role
